drink in deep

I woke up in a bad way
I swam into a tidal wave
I swore I’d put this coffin in its grave

I woke up in a lion cage
I tried to climb but fell away
and you were there to rain on my parade

and all I’ve got to do is find this fountain of youth
and plunge my head beneath the surface
and with my head beneath the surface
drink in deep
and fall asleep again

last night I had too much to say
and all that talk, had nothing to say
